Captives

Captives is a one year study on the period of world history accurately prophesied of by Daniel in his vision of the multi-metaled statue. Representing four nations that would rise to world prominence, Daniel foretold the end of the Babylonian rule, the rise of Medo-Persia, the conquests  of Alexander the Great and the Grecian empire, followed by the harsh rule of the Romans.

Spanning a 600 year period, our study will focus on the final 200 years of Biblical history recorded in the Old Testament, and give an overview of the 400 year gap between the testaments that included the Maccabean Revolt and the Golden Age of Greece.

We will meet Hadassah, the girl who became Queen Esther, (the Biblical "Cinderella"), and famous prophets such as Daniel, Ezekial, and Jeremiah will become familiar friends.  As we join the returning Hebrew exiles, we will encounter Ezra the Scribe, Nehemiah the builder, Joshua the High Priest, and Zerubbabel the governor.

This is the final course in Old Testament Biblical History, a five year program that covers the first 4,000 years of the earth's history... that is, His-story.
